Born and raised in Southern California near beaches and mountains, Oryan didn’t need to look far for inspiration which may have led him to his most recent works called Liquid Fusion. Creating from an early age and self taught, Oryan has been honing his skills from portrait and realism to all new organic abstract creations. Oryan’s Liquid Fusion’s are multi-colored layers of different types of paint, creating a juxtaposition of color and texture never before seen in the art world. Much like great masters of glass, the layering of color will have an effect on the next layer. Oryan has a similar approach. The life of art begins with a lengthy process of first breaking down the paint to its most pure form. Separating the paint from its medium and pigment allows Oryan to manipulate the textures and the colors. When the paint is broken down and added together an organic battle begins, the paints act like magnets, attracting and repelling each other both horizontally and vertically, sometimes traveling through layers. Because of the instability of the work Oryan cannot stop once a piece is started, working sometimes up to several hours or even days at a time. Like life, each piece is in a state of constant change. When a proper balance of color and texture is reached, the final step or, modern encaustic, is achieved by using multiple layers of urethane giving each piece a durable glass like appearance. This in essence freezes time, stopping the process of change.
